Amanita Muscaria - powder

,

Fly Agaric (Amanita muscaria) is an iconic mushroom that, with its bright red hat with white spots, mainly decorates the coniferous forests of the northern hemisphere. Since ancient times it has been part of shamanic traditions in northern Europe, Siberia and America, where it has been used in spiritual and healing rituals for its psychoactive properties. It contains two important alkaloids in particular: muscimol, which is relaxing, calms the mind and can induce altered states of consciousness, and ibotenic acid, which has stimulating effects and is toxic in higher doses. Proper processing of the mushroom converts ibotenic acid into muscimol, maximising its relaxing and hypnotic effects.
