Chaga, Latin Inonotus obliquus, is a medical sponge that is an integral part of traditional Russian and Chinese medicine. The home of this mushroom is predominantly Siberia, but also northern areas of China.
The fungus contains an unprecedented amount of antioxidants such as phenols and melanins, which slow down aging processes and protect the body from oxidative stress. We also find high levels of polysaccharides, terpenes, steroids, proteins, and amino acids. Chaga is also rich in vitamins, predominantly B, D and K, and outbuilding elements such as magnesium, sodium, calcium, zinc, manganese, iron and more. Thanks to this unique composition it supports the immune system and harmonizes the body.
Chaga is also known for its stimulating effects. Supports cognitive functions, improves memory and attention. It also serves as an effective adaptogen – it helps one to cope with demanding living conditions. It is, therefore, appropriate to use it in periods of mental and physical strain.
Chaga in the form of the extract is used in the amount of 0.5 g – 1g per dose. We recommend taking it once or twice a day. The extract has a slightly bitter taste, so it is suitable to dissolve it in cocoa, coffee, tea or another favorite drink. We recommend flavoring with milk or honey. The extract can also be mixed into dishes such as yogurt, porridge or smoothie.
