Sage white

White sage, Latin Salvia apiana, is a perennial shrubby growing to a height of 1 meter. Its home is in Central America, especially Mexico. It is one of the most sacred herbs on the planet, traditionally used for purification and protective rituals. Sage is known to drive away negative energies and evil spirits, and in turn promotes strong positive energies.

HISTORY

The original inhabitants of Central America have used white sage since time immemorial in prayer, rituals and the treatment of various diseases. USE

A smudge stick of sage is lit and then the flame is blown out so that the stick just smolders. We hold the sage in our hand and let it smoke with a place intended for a ceremony or other ritual. Smoke can also be used to clean objects and people.
